Since 1997, we have worked on website services; static websites, database backed websites, private portals, email servers, Internet of Things devices - and integrating the whole gambit.

More recently the services we offer are desribed as "Full stack" web services; and that pretty much describes our offerings, we do it all - really pretty well.

We can integrate websites with customer supplied hardware, and create bespoke software for anything, including custom device firmware for ARM microcontroller based devices.

A small business, based in Wales, UK - We don't have many staff to support, no physical premises to maintain - pretty much everything we do is remote working - over the internetwork. Initially a time served apprentice in the Telecommunications sector, our founder's expertese is built upon lessons learned directly at the coalface, from within a software engineering centre of a major UK telecomms provider.

Skills to hand are all that you may imagine; the founder is a formally qualified Software Engineer (with a major in Securtiy), as well as holding separate Network Engineering and Real Time operating system developement certificates for modern micro controller componentry.

Working mainly upon linux based operating systems for web server software, we will happily work in Visual Studio Enterprise and develop windows applications using C#, STM Cube IDE, or Keil. In terms of the Domain Name System we primarily use ISC Bind, or unbound. With respect to Email services - we depend upon and can hand craft any complexity solution with the current Postfix email server - it is the one gmail uses. With web sites, the databases we prefer to use operate on the relational database management system that is MariaDB. Our web front end's tend to be written in mod_perl2 served from apache 2.4 web servers. The web pages themseves are now HTML5 - which essentially embues meaning into the presentation lanuage and with CSS3 and javascript the to make the user interfaces standards compliant, everything is in line with present 2024 standards of today.
The preferred language we write new web programs in is perl, and for the other purposes C, but we have a myriad of language exposure commensurate with our experience.
In terms of Frameworks, we avoid them all if we can - as in many cases their initial advantages soon invert when directions advance beyond the realms of the initial scope - if you are at bare metal level then there is nothing enforcing a specific method onto you.

There are many talented people out there that eclipse our skills and abilities in their prospective fields. There is a lot of great talent laid to waste by modern times and ways too. However, our unique experience across the industry means that we are good, and what is more, we are good in all the right places, fundamentally decent - and the winning proposition for your business.

In times where the money is tight, it is easy to get burned as collateral damage amidst the chaos of the churn. Big business often change direction directed from the top with the best intentions of reform and renewal implementing the changes needed to pacify shareholders and satisfy the directorship in haste. Operational environemnts provided by normally Great suppliers can be inverted overnight, an enduring Vista since the dot.com bust. The Daily Mail newspaper reports that 56,000 tech-based employees have been sacrificed in 2024 alone - and we are barely 4 months in! Collateral damage in these situations is simply unavoidable. We've been in that boat before, the nimble nature of a small business like ours in this case means we can react, and remediate quickly. We know not to depend on a surfit of third party microservices - which will all eventually vanish given enough time. Ordinarily we have limited third party dependancies, giving us a lean base so we can more easily to relocate to suit the ever shifting boundaries we work within.

When working with a small supplier there are things which make use better and more competitive than our larger competitors, and some inherent drawbacks too.

We will not work to long duration lead times on Payments - we insist on 30 day payment terms at most - indeed external spend items will in most cases will need to be settled, at least initially, up front.

We cannot allocate you a human resource greater than available - you can have usually one man day per day at most.

While we believe in work life balance, we are more flexible than our larger competition; we do not have to keep rigid hours - which means you can have your live website updated out of hours in the early morning for example. You can have your web presence maintained and any failures pinpointed, isolated and fixed on a bank holiday or in the middle of the night, or new years day. If your resource is multinational this flexibility makes interoperation and cooperation easier.

Talking to the organ grinder, directly. When you deal with small supplier - there is no barrier in the commiunication, no middleman - you get the black and white unabashed direct from the horse's mouth, in our case that means direct access as close to 24/7 as practicable to the founder.

No over selling, over subscription, over promising, over squeezing or over agreeing. There are many fabulous things in this world, cheapened hastily with inane shortcuts which essentially demerit and invalidate them, we will try to convince our customers if they are making poor or short sighted choices; to help steer them away from the metaphorical icebergs!

Sadly, sometimes we may drop the odd F-Bomb! Not in a fury like the famous cook Ramsey; but given the right (or wrong) circumstances, we have been found to recite unpleasant words in frustration... forgetting our better nature, we aim to avoid such vocabulary misdemeanours...

For all of the things we can do well, there are some things we are not brilliant at. Graphic design work is something we would ordinarily outsource. We would not offer you our services as an outsourced sales team - after all you know your vision and you product better than we do!

A lot of the time computer based tasks and roles may be opaque and seem to be unique to the unfamilliar; in terms of skillsets most human resources staff are lost on the acute abilities and flexibilities of competent fully trained software engineers. In the real world, you will find that a great engineer would be equally adept at building a bridge equally as well as building a castle, a car park, or a moat given appropriate resources. Really, if you know you have a technical need, consult a well informed computer systems engineer - and they will be able to enlighten and inform and direct you efficiently. Finding somebody when you need a nuclear fusion expert, or somebody in fluid dynamics is not comparable to a software guy who does C# vs VB.net, yet most treat it like such; being able to instantly recall nomenclature for a particular ODBC connection string is far less use than knowing exactly how to securely pass queries to said database for example.
